We supplied set and AV to Venturefest, the conference for innovative start-ups and scale-ups in the South West, to create a venue fit for the ‘Smart City Technology’ theme.
We supplied three different rooms at Future Space, located at the University of the West of England, as companies and experts gathered to see demonstrations and hear talks about what it takes to make a smart city.
Mastercard, Nokia, KPMG, Osborne Clarke, Zeett Networks, Bristol Energy, the Universities of Bath and Bristol and Innovate UK were just some of the companies who were represented at the event.
The VentureFest Hub, which was used as a networking space, had an overflow feed from the main seminar room. Our team supplied a Barco E2 presentation system, and controlled both rooms from the seminar room, switching between the camera feed and presentation content in the hub so audiences could see both on the screens.
A Yamaha QL1 was used for the mixing, and we utilised silent disco headphones to ensure people had the choice to either socialise or listen to the audio that went with the on-screen footage. The PA system used in the main hub was Nexo ID24s compact speakers, which was mounted onto the set using brackets, and were used for announcements. We also used our ultra short throw lens in the hub to make best use of space within the room and make it look larger.
To make sure the set had a professional look and finish it was canvas wrapped with artwork supplied by the client.
In the Venturefest reception we also built and installed toblerone stands where some of the attending companies, such as KPMG, could network. Each stand could accommodate three companies and had a plinth set up to facilitate networking.
