We helped showcase comedy gold by supplying AV equipment to Bristol’s annual Slapstick Festival, January.
With screenings of historic classics by Charlie Chaplin and Laurel & Hardy, along with personal appearances by Rory Bremner, Simon Callow, Alexei Sayle, Marcus Brigstocke and Lucy Porter, plus tributes to Victoria Wood and Rik Mayall, the 13th edition of the Slapstick Festival ran for five days across multiple venues.
At two of Bristol’s most iconic venues, the Bristol Old Vic and Colston Hall, we supported the festival with sound and projection. For the sound, we supplied a Yamaha CL5 mixing desk with Dante digital network and Shure ULXD radio mics, as well as Barco processing and Panasonic HD Projectors for the visuals.
There were eight separate events at the Colston Hall and Bristol Old Vic, including the ever-popular Silent Comedy Gala which was compered by comedian and impressionist Rory Bremner.
