We provided audio equipment and technical support to Young Bristol’s fundraising dinner at Ashton Gate Stadium, 29th October 2016.
The home of Bristol City and Bristol Rugby became a temporary ‘Stars In Their Eyes’ set as Young Bristol supporters and trustees got together for a fundraising dinner.
Local businesses and individuals took to the stage to perform as their favourite stars with comperes Sacha Tasker and Sir John Royce supervising. Memorable moments included Chris Seaton and staff from Burges Salmon playing as The Rolling Stones and local model Tanya Banks doing a turn as Liza Minnelli.
We made sure the performers, which also included Madonna, The Stone Roses and The Wurzels, came through loud and clear by providing a Nexo PA system.
Utopium was on hand to supply an LED lights system which changed with each act. The team programmed in different images so an Italian flag appeared when Samuel Middleton, the overall winner on the night, performed as Jose Carreras, and a scrolling ABBA sign appeared when a group came on stage dressed as the Swedish band.
Young Bristol is a charity which works to make sure young people of all backgrounds have the best opportunities possible so they can reach their potential. Organisers say they were delighted with the night and easily beat their fundraising target.
