Creating a Giant Piggy Bank For Charity

We relished the opportunity to help the fundraising campaign of Full Reach Charity by building a giant piggy bank, May 2016.

“We have had some unusual requests over the past twenty five years,” Managing Director Reg Evans smiles, “but the request to build a giant piggy bank to go on tour must come in our top three!”

The charities founder, Rosie-Mai, came to Evans having been let down, with less than one week to go before the first in a series of fundraising opportunities at Foodies Festivals throughout the UK. The aim being to take the giant piggy bank on tour to raise £20,000 in loose change.

Our scenic team stepped up to the challenge and crafted a 2,500litre, 2m high giant piggy bank, in just six days, ready for its first appearance at Bristol Food Connections.

Reg states: “Our scenic team are very creative and are great at bringing people’s ideas into fruition, but they really pulled out the stops to create a giant Penny the piggy bank, in such a short timeframe. We hope it will be successful in raising funds for Full Reach.”
